5 HABITS THAT CHANGED MY LIFE
Are you ready to create some life-changing habits that will catapult your productivity to another level? Well, this post is definitely for you!
These 5 habits helped me change how I attacked my day and I’m thinking they will help you too.
1.) Adopting a Minimalist Mindset
If you haven’t read “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up” by Marie Kondo, I strongly recommend that you pick it up. That book changed the way that I viewed my personal items, my personal relationships, and even the tasks on my to-do list.
I decluttered the items in my home, only keeping the items that “brings me joy” (reference from the book), I also started simplifying the way that I approached my day.
This system of simplification helped me only add items that mattered to my planner.
2.) Waking Up Early
I have always considered myself a night owl. Even in college, I would stay up late to complete papers, projects, and it has always worked for me. However, I noticed a couple of months ago that whenever I would stay up later to finish a project, I would make a bunch of mistakes and I would be exhausted and extremely unproductive in the following days.
I decided to switch it up and to start waking up at 4:30am every weekday. I developed a morning routine between the hours of 4:30 am – 8:30am (video coming soon) and start working by 9am. GAME CHANGER!
It was a major adjustment, but once I got a rhythm going I knew I would never go back.
3.) Schedule Everything
You should have seen this one coming, because I am an avid planner but yeah SCHEDULE EVERYTHING. I don’t care if you use a planner, your phone, or an app but start to schedule your life.
I love to schedule everything. Visualizing my day and timing out what I am doing and how I am going to get it done has helped so much with my productivity.
Figure out the best way for you to stay on top of your day and start immediately. It will change your life.
4.) Set Intentional Goals With Deadlines
I write down consistent goals every week, month, quarter, and year. Along with each goal, I set deadlines to attach to that goal so that I am able to keep track of my progress.
Many of our goals seem far-fetched when we set them in January, but if we attach smaller deadlines to each goal we are able to get it done.
Set goals, write them down, set deadlines, and get it done.
5.) Learn Something New Every Day
The internet has opened a new world of information to us. Podcasts, books, audio books, youtube videos, and udemy courses are all amazing ways to learn something new. I take 30 minutes out of each day to learn something about my craft. It helps me expand my knowledge as a financial coach and Youtuber.
Take time to learn something new every single day and watch how it transforms your life.
